In 2015 Bear the Astronot settled on a crazy idea. 2 Months to create a massive project. Bear grew up in The Grand Canyon National Park and on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. He had always wanted to create a musical project dedicated to his unique childhood. He set out to create this project quickly. He wildly wrote and produced an eclectic dedication to his childhood and the Southwest. After 2 months he had 2 Chapters to the project he titled Grand Canyon. 35 Songs & Spoken Word pieces completely written, produced, recorded, mixed, and released. In 2 months time. This may have not been time to sonically perfect every song, but the imperfect feel was perfect for Bear the Astronot’s vision. Lots of these songs contain 1 take verses and hooks, and many were created from start to finish in chunks of songs all in the same day.
