Bears, Astronauts, and Kachinas
Bear Cole wears many musical hats. He is an MC, Producer, Musician, Poet, and spent years as a Professional DJ. He works under the names of Bear the Astronot, Turntable Kachina, and DJ Bear Cole. Hailing from the state of Arizona, Bear has lived and performed in the deepest reaches of the Navajo Nation Reservation and all over Phoenix, Flagstaff, Tucson, and the entire Southwest. His music is enlightening, dark, and melodic. He easily transitions between genres. Hip-Hop, Indie, Dance, Electronic, World, R&B, Country, and Bluegrass. No sound is beyond his reach. Bear contributes quietly to the music scene now, mainly recording at home and posting new songs for anyone who wants to listen.
Bear Cole is the man. Bear the Astronot is the Lyricist, Singer-Songwriter. Turntable Kachina is the Producer. DJ Bear Cole is the DJ and Record Selector. Currently residing in Flagstaff Arizona as a musician Bear is eclectic. Normally, he is spending times hiking, hunting, and exploring the outdoors. An avid outdoorsman and survivalist. Bear finds as much motivation from KRS One, Andre 3000, Eminem, and Sage Francis as he does from Waylon Jennings, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, and Lynnrd Skynnrd. He is as much of a Singer Songwriter, as he is a Hip-Hop MC. He isn’t a trained or seasoned singer, but he finds ways to create haunting and beautiful melodies. He isn’t a prodigy, but he can be heard playing piano, banjo, guitar, harmonica, percussion, and scratching on many of the songs he produces.
Bear is not something you get immediately, his music is a package that can take time to accustom yourself to. However, I think once you settle in, you will want to keep downloading and listening.
